Courthouse Plaza main level interior

Prior to renovations the interior of the Court House Plaza was structurally sound, but otherwise suffering from deterioration for approximately 15 years.

The Phase I renovations are now occupied by Work One and Children & Family Services.

Phase II and Phase III house the Probation Department, Community Corrections, Superior Court I and II, as well as the Prosecutor's Office. The facility was sold to Lawrence County in 2002.



The present parking lot for Courthouse Plaza.

This lot formerly housed Shepperd's car lot and was in desperate need of revitalization.
BUEA purchased this lot, razed the building, and constructed a beautifully landscaped parking lot.


Courthouse Plaza Open House
On May 10, 1999, Lady O'Bannon graciously attended and spoke at the open house for the Courthouse Plaza.
